Christian studied cello at the Music Conservatory in Malmö with the Swedish solo cellist/conductor Mats Rondin. He studied in Amsterdam for two years with Russian solo cellist Dmitri Ferschtman. Christian has participated in master classes with Truls Mörk. Together with his wife, flutist Sofia Sahlin, Christian founded the chamber ensemble Musica Mobile in 1994. Christian has performed as a chamber musician in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and China, and has recorded two CDs. He has been assistant principal cellist in the Nordic Chamber Orchestra of Sundsvall, Sweden, chief conductor Christian Lindberg.
