Helena is currently the training artistic director for Gotlands Dance. She is an eminent choreographer who has worked with Romateatern, The Modern Dance Theater, Länsteatern and in many contexts throughout Sweden and abroad. Born 1951 in Linköping she danced Ballet for Tatiana Niordsson in Linköping, Sweden from 7 years of age; trained as a dancer at Balettakademien in Stockholm from 1970-1974 and studied with Matt Mattox in London. She trained as a classical ballet teacher at danshögskola at the University College of Stockholm 1991. As a dancer she danced in Ingmar Bergman’s The Magic Flute and has worked with Cramerbaletten, Norrlands operan, SVT, The City Theatre of Stockholm, Royal Dramatic Theatre, The Modern Dance Theater, Dansens Hus, and with various choreographers including Birgitta Egerbladh, Per Jonsson, Ivo Cramer, Mary Skeaping, Ann-Charlotte Lindström, Mats Isaksson, Kjell Nilsson.
